Counseling, therapy & couples therapy

I offer counseling for individuals and couples in Oslo and online. Some of the issues I work with are relationship issues, depression, anxiety, grief, eating disorders, shame/self-criticism, trauma, stress and addiction. In the sessions we work together to bring clarity around your emotions, needs and challenges, integrate difficult experiences, and discover better ways of relating to yourself and others. Key aspects of the counseling I offer are emotional awareness and regulation, openness and self-acceptance, and presence and its qualities.

My counseling blends Emotion-Focused Therapy, a research-based humanistic approach, with presence-centered approaches to human growth that are more spiritual in nature. I find these complement each other well, and I like to think I offer down-to-earth therapy that also values our depth. Before training to be a counselor I worked as a physical therapist and later as a body psychotherapist.

I offer in-person sessions in Oslo, as well as online sessions. I`m happy to do sessions in English.
